5 AWESOME USES FOR YOUR USED COFFEE GROUNDS

USE IN YOUR GARDEN:

Used coffee grounds can be used as a fertilizer in your garden as it adds organic material to the soil, which improves drainage, water retention and aeration in the soil. The used coffee grounds will also help microorganisms beneficial to plant growth thrive as well as attract earthworms. It can also deter slugs and snails!

COFFEE EXFOLIATING SCRUB:

Now this is super easy and the results are sensational! Dry out the used coffee grounds, mix with coconut oil and scrub all over your skin in the shower. Remember to give your skin a good rinse after!

DE-STINKIFY YOUR FRIDGE:

Coffee is great at absorbing smells! To freshen up your fridge, place the used coffee in an open container in the fridge and change every few weeks. Voilà! No stinky fridge!

A GENTLE ABRASIVE FOR SCRUBBING POTS, PANS AND OVEN TRAYS:

Use approximately one tablespoon of used coffee grounds onto a cloth, add a little detergent and water and gently rub over stubborn baked on food. Simple!

REPAIR SCRATCHES IN FURNITURE:

Make a thick paste with used coffee grounds and water. Rub the paste into the scratch using a cotton swab or clean cloth, allow it to sit for 5–10 minutes and then wipe with another clean cotton rag. This should help buff out the scratch and conceal it by dying the exposed wood a dark-brown colour. Continue to dab coffee into the scratch using a cotton swab until the desired colour is achieved, waiting a few hours between applications.
